As keen mountain bikers, hardly any "mountain" is safe from us. Again and again we discover new routes that take us up to the summits of our home mountains in Central Switzerland.
Our favourite stage is the Four Lakes Tour, which leads from Lucerne to Melchsee-Frutt, over the Joch Pass to Engelberg and back to Lucerne. On longer tours with long stretches of carrying our bikes, such as over the "Surenen Pass", we spend the night at the "Stäfeli Hut" on the way up to the top of the pass. We also love riding the Rigi, the Bürgenstock and the Stanserhorn.
Now and then we also take part in bike marathons. The Swiss Bike Masters in the Prättigau, where we wait for the starting gun together with more than 3,000 other riders, is always a special experience. In 2007 we were thrilled by the Engadin Bike Marathon in the Grisons (138 km and 4,000 m of climbing) and its unique landscape. Smaller events like the "Brittnauer", where there is no timing and afterwards we talk shop with other cyclists over a plate of spaghetti, are always welcome to us as a chance to make new friends.
We love experiencing nature on two wheels and feeling that high of having once again "pedalled off" a few more kilometres.
To balance out our bike training, we spend our holidays windsurfing in Egypt.
